Restitution of Holocaust Assets - Aid to Holocaust survivors in need

The Company for Location and Restitution of Holocaust Victims' Assets devotes extensive energy to locating legal beneficiaries to assets it administers and which originally belonged to Holocaust victims - this in order to reinstate the assets to their rightful owners. Sometimes, in spite of our endeavors, we fail to find such beneficiaries, and the assets remain unclaimed.
In such cases, the Company is authorized
by the Assets Law to transfer the unclaimed assets for the use of Holocaust survivors in need, and to educational institutions tasked with commemorating the Holocaust - the survivors receiving top priority.

The Company's Aid procedures aim to be as efficient and as expeditious as possible, in consideration of those who have experienced the most horrific tragedy in human history. Aid is provided in accordance with the Law, which accurately defines what actions the company must take to fulfill this important task. Each year, eligibility criteria are defined for receiving aid, its scope and its nature.
