The Jewish Colonial Trust (JCT), the parent company of the Anglo Palestine Bank, was founded by Theodore Herzl to serve as a financial instrument for the Zionist movement. Early in the 20th century, the company issued approximately 250,000 shares at par value of £1. Many Jews in Europe acquired those shares in the period prior to WWII.

The JCT's goal was twofold: acquiring the permit for settling in Israel from the Othman Rule, as well as providing credit for the establishment of the Zionist enterprise in Palestine. The company established several daughter-companies, the most well-known of which was the Anglo-Palestine Company, which later developed into the company of Bank Leumi Le-Israel. During the 1950s the company's activities were transferred to the Israeli company, "Otzar Hityashvut Hayehudim LTD".

The names of the share holders which were transferred to the handling of the Company for Location and Restitution of Holocaust Victims Assets LTD are detailed in the following list. The entitled heirs will be able to cash these shares through the Company.

The above lists contain data regarding bank accounts that have been derived from the findings of the Parliamentary Inquiry Committee. Therefore, even though it is possible to submit applications for restitution based on this data, it will not be possible to handle the requests until the information and the moneys are received from the above mentioned organizations.
